MORNING REALITY

It’s not a secret that I’m a complete morning person, ok?

I live for the mornings. I am obsessed with the mornings. The earlier that I can wake up the better. But, we all have those days where we hear out alarm go off and would rather hit the snooze button. It can be tough to get roll out of bed when we are snuggled up in our cozy pajama’s, right?

Creating a morning routine and a nighttime routine is crucial to making the first half of your day easier, you know? I find it so important to make the most of our time in the mornings so that we can start our day off on the right foot!

In my opinion, this is one of the best hacks for productivity!

I want to help save you some time in the morning, so that you can focus on the amazing day ahead!

8 MORNING HACKS

make your morning as productive and efficient as possible!

HACK NUMBER ONE

Start Your Mornings The Night Before

Eliminate decision making tasks! Take 20 minutes before bed and prep your outfit for the next day, your to-do list and calendar! Make sure your water bottle is filled, take out your coffee ( if you are a coffee drinker ) and anything that will make waking up a little bit easier.

Do you take vitamins? Put them on your nightstand with a glass of water! This way you don’t even have to think about it when you get up!

HACK NUMBER TWO

Get Better Sleep

I try to get to bed pretty early to make sure that I get enough beauty rest. If I’m well rested, I’m more energized.

Something that really helps me to sleep better is to put a nighttime routine in place, get in a good 30 minute walk a couple hours before bed and turn off all electronics at least 1 hour before falling asleep.

If you still struggle to sleep, I am a HUGE fan of Olly Nutrition’s Restful Sleep Gummies. They are made up of melatonin with L-Theanine and it will knock you out.

HACK NUMBER THREE

Avoid Hitting Snooze

It is SO beyond easy to hit that snooze button. Even as a morning person, I have those days where I just don’t want to get out of bed. What I do is put my phone on the other side of the room. This way I am FORCED to get out of bed.

HACK NUMBER FOUR

Set Your Alarm 30 Minutes Earlier

Morning routines are everything and taking advantage of “you” time before you start your day can only benefit your mental health. Start your day with a few minutes of meditation, journaling or even a quick workout.

HOT TIP: I like my alarm to play a motivational song to get me going.

HACK NUMBER FIVE

Let The Natural Light In

I like to sleep with the shades open! This way the natural light comes through as the sun rises and this totally wakes me up. When I sleep with our blackout shades, I cannot get myself out of bed no matter what. Natural light has a powerful effect on our mornings! It’s better to be woken up by that than an annoying alarm clock, right?

HACK NUMBER SIX

Find A Reward

If you aren’t a morning person, but need to make the most of your mornings, then getting out of bed is a must.

Put something in place that you look forward to! Maybe you enjoy your cup of coffee and listening to a podcast. Maybe you are OBSESSED with a good breakfast. Get that prepared and think about that as you go to sleep. Try to get excited about something the night before and that will help kick start your day.

HACK NUMBER SEVEN

Hydration

If we want to have a productive morning, then we need energy, right? After many hours without water, our bodies are likely to be dehydrated. Start your day with two glasses of cold water. Add a spritz of lemon or Organic Apple Cider Vinegar to spice it up.

HACK NUMBER EIGHT

Tame Your Hair

One of the things that drives me crazy in the morning while I’m trying to get ready is my hair. It’s either frizzy, in knots, a mess and it’s annoying TBH. It takes me a solid 30 minutes to fix my hair to make it look somewhat appropriate for the day.

Sleep on a silk pillowcase to reduce any frizz or sleep with your hair in braids!

This way you wake up with fresh and beautiful hair that is ready to go!

THE TAKEAWAY

If you aren’t a morning person or you are just looking to create better habits, then I highly suggest putting a few of these in place!
