HOW TO LOOK GOOD NAKED

THE PRESSURE

In this crazy world of selfies, filters and Photoshop, the pressure to look good is at an all time high. Our photos are constantly adjusted to fit this “instagrammable” world, but what’s happening is toxic.

It’s completely affecting our mental health.

When I scroll through my feed on Insta, I see all of these gorgeous girls with perfect bodies, living this perfect life. Then I wonder, like WTF am I doing wrong? Why doesn’t my body look like that? ( could it be that FROYO I ate last night? ) LOL only teasing.

But, the pressure of social media is absurd and causing us to feel SO insecure that we are actually taking the time to edit our beautiful photos!

We are so beyond hard on ourselves and judgmental of our appearance because we are comparing ourselves to what we see on social media!

It’s time for us to feel good in our own skin. To stop this comparison game, which is a waste of our time. Be HAPPY for those who truly feel confident in their own skin, instead of trying to compete or compare.

Become aware of the reality that not everything we see is real and empower other people to do the same.

Killer workouts, clean eating, hydration and other self care rituals can totally help boost your self confidence, so I want to dive into what that actually looks like!

Like I always say… when you feel good, you do good. So, it’s time to feel good naked!

Let’s take care of ourselves. We have one body. We have one life. We need to begin to love ourselves internally and feel good in our own skin. Here are a few easy tips!

5 WAYS TO FEEL GOOD NAKED

EXFOLIATE

I don’t know about you… but when my skin is super soft, I feel more confident. I love a good exfoliator, you know?

These are a few of my FAVORITES that I highly suggest you try:

MOISTURIZE

After you exfoliate, you obviously want to lather up your body in some of the best scents and soothing lotions, right? F yeah! I’m telling you guys… there is nothing better than having silky smooth skin… It just feels nice and you feel like your body is well maintained.

Here are a few of my FAVORITE moisturizers:

HYDRATION

If you read my posts, then you know this is a big one for me. When we hydrate, we not only feel more awake and alert, but it has many other benefits. First of all, our bodies are mostly made up of water, sooooo let’s just start there.

Hydrating…

  • Clears up your skin

  • Can give you a little glow

  • Helps with bloating

  • Wakes you up

…and that then gives you the energy to hit the gym and… feel good!

I LOVE to keep a cute water bottle with me at all times. I end my day with 2 glasses of water. I start my day with 2 glasses of water. I keep that water bottle on my nightstand. It’s just my thing. Stay hydrated!

MOVEMENT

If we aren’t feeling great about ourselves physically, then we are probably to be more mindful of our movement. Taking a walk, doing pilates, trying out a new yoga class or even just stretching is a great way to start!

Even if you already workout a decent amount, try stepping it up!

Also realize that movement helps clear your mind, reduce stress and anxiety.

That alone can help improve your self talk, which can benefit the way you see yourself!

GET USED TO YOUR BIRTHDAY SUIT

I actually read about this a few years ago.

The article said that walking around naked when you are home or even wearing tighter clothes, can help to improve your confidence!

You begin to feel comfortable with being naked and therefore, you are more likely to take care of your mind, body and soul!

POSTURE

Stand up straight! Stand up tall! Feel that confidence from within.

When you are all hunched over, you tend to feel like crap, ok?

Standing up tall doesn’t just make you look good, but it helps you feel more confident! So, keep that chin up and be the badass that you are!
