FITNESS HACKS: DO THESE AT ANY TIME
CAN WE REALLY MAKE TIME?
THE TRUTH ABOUT FITNESS
The truth is that we don’t always have the time to get in a solid hour workout, right? We plan on it. We might put it in our calendar. But, life doesn’t always go as planned.
You know what I’m getting at.
There are so many benefits to just a little movement. Unfortunately, we can’t always make it work, but there ARE little things that we can do to get in a quick sweat throughout our crazy days.
WORK AND FITNESS
IT CAN BE TOUGH
I work from home. Sometimes I get so caught up in the work that I do on my computer, that I forget to move. I will literally sit there at my computer for hours sooooo zoned in and the time flies by.
Honestly though, you have to keep your body moving during the day. And not everyone can take an hour each morning to walk, you know?
Even taking a brisk walk for any amount of time is impactful. I’ve noticed that when I consciously remind myself to move during the day, it sparks that motivation and creativity that we crave.
So, I’ve put together some of my favorite little exercises to do during the day for all of you busy people out there!
No more excuses. This doesn’t take a lot of time. It will keep you toned, tight and feeling good!
You can apply this to everyday life. Whether you are busy at work, in school or just not into working out.
This can be implemented into anyone’s routine!
…but first, here is a SUPER easy way to remind yourself to get in that mini workout:
HOT TIP: Set an alarm for every hour.
This is my favorite trick! The alarm reminds me that I need to get up and move. Something else that’s fun? Try changing your alarm to be a song that motivates you!

3 WAYS TO SWEAT DURING A BUSY DAY
( or easy ways to sweat when you just don’t feel like working out )
This little trick was a game changer for me. About a year ago, I realized that I needed to bump up my movement during the day. So, I thought, “why not order resistance bands?” Hello Amazon. I ordered some bands off of Amazon and I use them daily.
EASY RESISTANCE BAND EXERCISES
I take 5-10 minutes to do a few reps of these exercises and I get in a bit of a sweat. Resistance bands are amazing for toning and will help to boost your energy! You can throw them in your bag, take them with you anywhere, keep them on your desk or in your car. GAME CHANGER.
JUMP ROPE/JUMPING JACKS
When that alarm buzzes every hour, get up, set a timer and jump rope ( or do jumping jacks ) for 3-5 minutes. To keep it fun, I like to do intervals.
1 minute slow pace
30 seconds super fast
30 seconds medium speed
1 minute super fast
30 seconds slow pace
30 seconds super fast
1 minute slow pace
This gets your heart pumping, you’ll start sweating and it’s only 5 minutes! You’ll definitely get that boost of energy, burn some calories and feel a bit more motivated than before. This is one of my favorite tricks for productivity.
WALK WHILE YOU TALK
Take conference calls or any call for that matter on the phone! Walk while you respond to emails. Walk while you engage on social media. Just walk! It doesn’t matter what you do for work! Walking around an office while you are on a call will help you get in those extra steps. It also helps to get your mind going and you might find the calls to be more productive!
Here are a few fun ways to break a sweat during everyday activities
Squat while you brush your teeth
Do calf raises while you blow dry your hair
Sit on a bouncy ball while you are at your computer instead of a chair
Do 1 minute of dips on a bathtub or chair every other hour
Try doing crunches during TV commercials
It doesn’t matter how busy you are because there are always ways to break a sweat in a short period of time! Start adding these into your daily routine and they will soon become a habit.
It took me a couple of weeks to get used to this when I first started if we are being honest, but now I’m addicted!
I’ve also seen a huge change in my body, which I love. I mean… who wouldn’t Simple changes to your everyday routine can seriously improve your life and more importantly, HEALTH!
