WHY YOU NEED TO START BEFORE YOU ARE READY
WHAT STOPS US FROM TAKING ACTION
I want to talk about something that so many of us worry about and provide clarity.
How many of you have a vision of a life that you want to live, but deep down are afraid to take that first step because of the unknown?
I’m sure that you’ve heard before… there’s never a “right” time to start. I like to say… there’s never a right time to GO. I think we are often holding ourselves back because of limiting beliefs that only exist in our mind.
Negative emotions are typically what we try to avoid, and as those negative emotions slowly begin to approach us, our limiting beliefs step right up to discourage us. This can show up in the form of perfectionism, excuses or amongst other forms of avoidance.
But… that’s just it. What we are really doing is AVOIDING those negative emotions and THAT is preventing us from being “ready.”
ARE NEGATIVE EMOTIONS BAD?
Without opening yourself up to these possibilities, you remain in the exact same place you are now, and if you’re reading this, then I’m assuming that place isn’t where you want to be.
FEAR of these emotions and uncertainty cause a delay in action. Action that is necessary when creating a life of fulfillment and happiness. The problem is that the longer you wait, the more time that you waste.
Because while fear is a very real emotion, it only exists in our minds and that fear is what lead you to those limiting beliefs. Talk about bringing a topic full circle, right?
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN WE TAKE THE RISK
There is no such thing as being ready. Even when you feel like you are “ready,” things can still go wrong.
Nothing is ever perfect ESPECIALLY in the beginning. That’s part of the journey to success. Adjustments may need to happen. The feedback may not be what you thought.
You might have this amazing idea to move across the country and start a new life, you know? You have it all planned out and then it doesn’t work out.
This isn’t me being negative. This is me being real and pushing you to see “being ready” from a new perspective.
Would you rather begin building now or wait until enough time has passed and realize that the timing didn’t matter?
Opportunities are lost. Relationships could have been built. I personally refuse to live in the “should” and “could” world. I live in the NOW.
THE REALITY OF STARTING NOW
It takes time to build and create something that we desire. It takes mistakes and errors for us to actually get it right. If we all knew that there was a “right” time to start, then everyone would be a massive success because we’d have all of the answers.
BUT WE DON’T.
We are so critical of ourselves and are often not giving ourselves enough credit. If you made a list right now of everything that you’ve accomplished in your lifetime, I bet you’d be amazed to see that progress on paper. It’s one thing to think it and another to see it.
If we truly want to create a new reality, we need to stop wasting time, acknowledge our fears and go. Fears are normal. Doing something different can be scary. We all know how short life is and that it can be taken away at any moment. You have absolutely nothing to lose.
Achieving fulfillment starts with taking the first step. What is one thing that you can start with today?
