CONQUERING DECISION MAKING + ASKING FOR WHAT YOU WANT
IMPROVE YOUR LIFE
Last week on the SHE DID IT podcast, I had the opportunity to chat with the host of the #1 Entrepreneur podcast “The Playbook”, a Top 100 Business Coach, author of the #1 new release Game-Time Decision Making and the CEO who goes around helping people.
Can you guess who that is? David Meltzer!
David and I discussed….
Conquering decision making and asking for what you want.
As a successful entrepreneur, you can imagine all of the questions that I needed to ask him because he has built himself an empire even after losing it all.
David grew up in Akron, Ohio in a large family, and was a happy kid! His father left the family at a young age, yet his mother had a strong influence on his life that allowed him to thrive.
As he grew older, he knew that he was destined for entrepreneurship and consistently took action until he made his dream a reality.
There was even a point in his life where he actually “had it all,” yet struggled to feel fulfilled. David says that it got to a point where he felt he had nothing left to pursue because he had attached his happiness to money. He had attached his happiness to becoming a millionaire and buying his mom a house, a car and other external factors.
MINDSET FOR SUCCESS
DAVID GOT SPECIFIC ON HOW HE SHIFTED HIS PERSPECTIVE + MINDSET
“Instead of living in a world of just enough, and achieving just enough for me, I realized that my position in life was to enjoy the consistent and persistent pursuit of allowing more and more to come through me for others. Then there was never any doubt that there’s more than enough of everything for everyone.”
He changed his life around to get to where he is today because sometimes money isn’t always the answer. While money ALLOWS us to do the things that we love in life, it doesn’t provide us happiness.
It comes down to decision making, taking control of yourself and your routines.
“If you buy the right things, you will be extraordinarily happy.”
AND ASKING FOR WHAT YOU WANT
This interview is giving SHE DID IT podcast listeners an exclusive look into the book and what Game-Time Decision Making means.
We also touched on asking for what you want. There are so many people in this world who are simply afraid to ask for what they want for various reasons.
But, in order to achieve what you want, you need to be able to ask and understand that hearing the word, “no” is actually a step in the right direction.
David says, “No is just me getting closer to what I want. In my imagination, I know that I am only 25 no’s away from getting what I want. When I get that first “no” instead of being so dejected or the 10th no and more depressed, I get more excited!”
Hearing no and asking for what we want can help us to make better DECISIONS. The more you ask and put it out to the universe, the quicker you’ll get to where you want.
You can’t just give up.
I am so grateful to have had David Meltzer on the SHE DID IT podcast to share his story and valuable knowledge on how to reach success in life!
